Monday reminders

Please remember to wear only

shoes or sneakers on Monday.

 will NOT be permitted to

go on the river walk and/or trails with

open-toe shoes.

Please be prepared for possible

rain-dress accordingly.  We will attend the

field trip if it is raining, but 

NOT if there are thunderstorms. We will

make the call Monday A.M.

Please go to your first period class that was the same as Friday.

Important Information

If you missed any finals this past week you MUST go to that teacher and schedule a time to take it.  All finals must be completed by tomorrow.

Remember to follow the building rules over the course of this week and next week. 

In order to go on the field trip Monday,

you MUST   have a signed permission slip.  If you need a copy, please see a teacher by the end of the day.  Tomorrow is the last day to turn them in.  You can not show up on Monday and expect to call home to get verbal permission.  Ausable Chasm needs the waiver forms to permit entrance.

Home and Career: If you have not completed your job shadowing packet or career research packet, please turn them in by the end of the day.

Health: When given the opportunity to make corrections on your test during class, some of you left the tests on your desk and didn't make any effort to improve your grade.  Unfortunately, unless you can correct the test by the end of the day, you will receive the given grade on your test.  Some of you showed Eagle Pride by being respectful and following through, others need to make better choices.

To conclude our novel study of the Everest book series by Gordon Korman, Team Ascent students will be viewing the movie Everest, rated PG 13 on Friday, June 16th. The purpose of viewing this film, which is based on a true story, will be to enhance student understanding of the struggles faced while climbing at high altitudes in treacherous weather and to provide a story to compare and contrast our novel with.

Engineering the Future classroom Video

Attention Team Ascent students, parents and

guardians, please enjoy this video

of our project last week.  The students were

asked to design a 21st Century Learning Space, apply for a job,

create a blue print, scale, cost analysis sheet,

3D model and a pitch of their learning space which was seen by Principal Campbell and Assistant Principal Johnson, who then chose the top three groups. These groups pitched their room to Superintendent Mannix who chose the room that most fit his vision of a 21st Century School, and ultimately, aspects of the room will be incorporated in the Capital Design at Beekmantown.  He had a very hard time choosing a winner.  We are proud of all the hard work the students demonstrated.
